FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Drake Bulldogs were defeated by the Arkansas Razorbacks, 5-4, in the opening game of the 2012 Woo Pig Classic. Hayley Nybo (Minnetonka, Minn.) the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week led the Bulldogs with two hits including a home run and the freshman had four RBI.

Drake (5-8) battled back from a 5-1 deficit with three runs in the sixth inning to cut the Razorbacks lead to 5-4. Nybo launched her second home run of the season off of Lauren Cohen to get within one run.

Errors and walks did the Bulldogs in on Friday night as Arkansas (12-2) scored three unearned runs helped by three Bulldog errors and five free passes.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday against IUPUI at 12:30 p.m. before they have a rematch with Arkansas at 5:15 p.m.
