The Bulldogs assumed control of the match from the start sweeping the doubles competition.  Garnering the doubles tally for Drake was the tandem of senior Jessica Aguilera (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) and sophomore Klavdija Rebol (Kranj, Slovenia), who downed Rilee Moorhead and Marian Tangarife at No. 2, 8-6.

The top of the Bulldogs' singles lineup then took over as Drake claimed wins at the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 slots, respectively, to secure the victory.

Registering her 22nd-straight singles win at No. 1 was junior Manca Krizman (Solkan, Slovenia), who bested Katharina Marsela, 6-0, 6-0.

Rebol stretched the margin to 3-0 in favor of Drake collecting a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Laura Porras at the No. 2 position.

Sealing the victory at No. 3 on the strength of a 6-2, 6-1 win past Moorhead was senior Gabriela Demos (Chesterfield, Mo.).

Rounding out the Bulldogs' win total was Aguilera and fellows seniors Amanda Aragon (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Earlynn Lauer (Wichita, Kan.) at the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 positions, respectively.

Drake will open its Missouri Valley Conference schedule on Saturday (March 31) hosting Northern Iowa at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.  Match time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
