FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Drake Bulldogs (6-11) dropped two games on Sunday on the final day of the 2012 Woo Pig Classic. Drake lost to Butler, 3-0 this morning and lost to IUPUI in the consolation game, 2-0 this afternoon.

In game one, Butler quieted the Drake bats as they allowed just three hits. Butler scored their first run of the game in the first inning off a passed ball and got the second run of the game in the third inning also on a passed ball. An RBI double in third scored Butler's final run.

Freshman Rebekah Schmidt (Cottage Grove, Minn) took the loss (1-3) for the Bulldogs as she allowed all three runs on two hits and four walks. Drake committed one error and Schmidt only allowed one earned run.

In game two, Jordan Gronewold (Carlisle, Iowa) went seven innings and she allowed just two runs on two hits. A solo home run by Royse and a wild pitch produced the only runs of the game and the sophomore took the tough loss to fall to 5-8 on the season.

Drake will play in their final non-conference tournament of the season next weekend at the Lady Bison Classic hosted by Lipscomb University. The Bulldogs will face Eastern Michigan and Lipscomb on Friday, March 9.
