CEDAR FALLS - The UNI Panthers defeated the Drake Bulldogs, 11-2, on Saturday afternoon in five innings at Robinson Dresser Field in Cedar Falls.

UNI improved to 28-9, 12-0 MVC with the win and Drake falls to 16-19, 8-4 MVC after the loss.

Amy Pierce (Overland Park, Kan.) went 2-for-3 at the plate with one run scored and a double.  Jaimie Duffek (Brookfield, Ill.), Torey Craddock (Tucson, Ariz.), Hayley Nybo (Minnetonka, Minn.) and Nicole Randel (Alpine, Calif.) each collected one hit for the Bulldogs.

The Panthers scored 11 runs on ten hits, including three home runs on their way to giving Drake just their second loss in five innings this season.

Jordan Gronewold (Carlisle, Iowa) took the loss for Drake to fall to 12-13 on the season.

The Bulldogs will host the Iowa State Cyclones on Tuesday, April 10. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. on Ron Buel Field.
