NORMAN, Okla. - The Drake men's tennis team saw a pair of players advance to the third round of the main singles draw at Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Regional after posting a combined 6-2 ledger on Saturday (Oct. 11).

Fourth-seeded and 37th-ranked senior Alen Salibasic (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina) registered a pair of triumphs besting David Herrerias of Arkansas, 6-2, 6-4, and Nebraska's Andrew Dzulynsky, 7-6 (6), 6-3.

Twelfth-seeded junior Ben Lott (Newcastle, England) garnered a pair of victories dispatching Linus Erhart of Nebraska in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, before downing UMKC's Airam Castellano, 6-4, 6-1.

Senior Matt Frost (Cambridge, England), the No. 16 seed, rallied to defeat Eric Frueh from Nebraska in his opening tilt, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, before dropping a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 decision to Matthew Kirby of Tulsa in the second round.

After dropping his opening match, senior Ben Mullis (Leicestershire, England) began consolation play edging Ford Zitsch of Nebraska, 6-2, 6-0.

The Bulldogs continue singles action at the ITA Central Regional on Sunday (Oct. 12).
