NORMAN, Okla. - Junior Ben Lott's (Newcastle, England) run at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Regional for the Drake men's tennis team came to an end on Monday (Oct. 13) following a three-set loss to 22nd-rated Leandro Toledo of Minnesota.

The semifinal showdown between Lott and Toledo came down to the third-set tiebreaker to determine which player would advance to the title match of the main singles draw.

Lott claimed the first set, 6-2, before Toledo rallied to earn the victory in the second frame, 6-4. The final set came down to the tiebreaker with Toledo edging Lott, 7-6 (5), to win the match, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5).

Drake returns to action closing out its fall campaign hosting the Bulldog Jamboree (Oct. 31-Nov. 2) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
