DES MOINES, Iowa – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) honored Drake women's tennis sophomore Maddie Johnson (Onalaska, Wis.) for her academic success selecting her as a recipient of the 2014 ITA Scholar-Athlete Award.

The recognition is bestowed on individuals maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale) for the 2013-14 academic year. Johnson registered a perfect 4.0 GPA in psychology.
