TAMPA, Fla. – UNC-Wilmington setback the No. 25 Drake University men's tennis team, 4-2, on Friday (March 13) in the first round of the USF Spring Break Tournament.

The Bulldogs edged out the Seahawks for the doubles point. Ben Mullis (Leicestershire, England) and Alen Salibasic (Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina) made quick work of UNCW's No. 3, winning 6-1, while Ben Lott (Newcastle, England) and Bayo Philips (Houston, Texas) secured the first point of the match with a 7-5 victory at No. 1.

The Seahawks tied the match up at 1 with a three-set victory at No. 6 singles. No. 42 Salibasic gave the Bulldogs the lead back with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1. But UNCW went on to win Nos. 5, 4 and 3 to complete the 4-2 upset. Lott, who is ranked No. 38, and Xander Veys went unfinished at No. 2.

The Bulldogs will play No. 73 VCU on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET in the consolation bracket.
