WALNUT, Calif. – Drake University junior Emma Huston (Des Moines, Iowa) recorded a personal best of 16:28.28 in the 5,000 meters on Friday night at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays.

Huston's time was the second-fastest in her heat and she currently ranks second in the Missouri Valley Conference in the event. Her time was more than 12 seconds faster than her previous personal best to rank third all-time in Drake history.

Huston returns to competition next week on her home track for the Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee.
