WICHITA, Kan. – The 51^st-ranked Drake University men's tennis team blanked Stony Brook, 4-0, in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon at the Crestview Country Club in Wichita Kan.

The Bulldogs jumped on the Seawolves early by winning the doubles point. Freshmen Tom Hands and Ben Clark topped Rodrigo Hadlich and Tyler Hoffman, 6-3 as senior Ben Lott and sophomore Ben Stride clinched the point with a 6-3 victory over Jose Morales and Samuel Taieb.

Drake kept it rolling in singles with freshman Vinny Gillespie cruising past Morales, 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot, putting DU up 2-0. Sophomore Calum MacGeoch put together a dominant performance over Taieb, 6-2, 6-1 at No.3, while Hands clinched the match with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Hoffman at the No. 4 spot.

The Bulldogs will square off against Southern Illinois at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the semifinal of the MVC Tournament.
