DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team travels to Normal, Ill. for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship and will square off against Evansville in the first-round on Friday at 12 p.m.
The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 10-10 overall record and a 2-5 MVC mark. Drake will be looking to snap its three-match skid after falling to Evansville and Southern Illinois last weekend. Junior

Tess Herder, who was named first-team MVC Scholar-Athlete earlier this week, holds a 10-5 dual match singles record.
Evansville has won six of its last seven match to end the regular season with a 16-13 record. Diana Tkachenko leads the Purple Aces with a 22-6 singles record. Andrea Pascual—Larri has recorded 17 wins, while Daria Pentsova has 15.
The winner will play the winner of No. 1-seed Wichita State and No.8/9 Stony Brook/Northern Iowa on Saturday at 2 p.m.
