Maguranyanga’s Season Comes To An End At NCAA West Preliminary

Sophomore sprinter ends decorated season one step away from the NCAA Championship

Drake University sophomore sprinter Kundai Maguranyanga ended his season Saturday at the NCAA West Preliminary in the 200 meters.

Maguranyanga, who swept the event at the indoor and outdoor MVC Championship finished his season one step away from advancing to the NCAA Championship as he finished eighth in his quarterfinal heat Saturday evening. Maguranyanga's time of 21.28 was the 22nd fastest time in the quarterfinal heats.

Maguranyanga finished his season with three outdoor MVC titles to his credit, in addition to being named the league's Most Valuable Performer.
