Sigurlaug Jonsdottir of the Drake University women's golf team has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic At-Large All-District 6 Team. This is the first CoSIDA All-District honor for the native of Iceland who graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a computer science and mathematics major.
 
Jonsdottir earned Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention accolades each of the past three seasons. As a senior, she posted a career-best scoring average of 78.7 before the season was cut short. During the fall, she finished seventh at the MVC Preview with a 54-hole total of 234 to take seventh place, her highest finish of the season and lowest 54-hole total.
 
The CoSIDA All-District At-Large teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 16-19.
