Six members of the Drake University men's soccer collected All-Missouri Valley Conference honors during the league's first round of postseason award announced Thursday morning.
Lucas Bartlett earned first team All-MVC honors after starting all nine games for the Bulldogs and leading their defensive efforts throughout the season. He assisted in Drake's two shutouts and played all 830 minutes this season.
Senior
Leroy Enzugusi earned first team honors after starting eight games and appearing in all nine. He is second in the MVC in game-winning goals this season with two. He tallied seven assists and is ranked seventh in the conference for most points with seven. Enzugusi recorded eight shots on goal and is ranked eighth in the conference for most shots this season with 18. He was the only MVC player selected in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft when he was selected 86th by Nashville SC.
Senior
Istvan Wilhelms also earned first team All-MVC after starting all nine games and leading the Bulldogs with three goals this season. He tallied two assists and four points against Evansville in the Bulldogs' final regular season match. Wilhelms is ranked sixth in the MVC in points this season with eight and was voted the league's Offensive Player of the Week (April 12).
Jared Brown received second team All-MVC honors after starting in goal all nine games for the Bulldogs. He faced 73 shots and recorded two shutouts this season. He is ranked third in the MVC in saves with 22.
Redshirt-junior
Bradan Allen also earned second team All-MVC honors after starting all nine games and scoring the game-winning goal against Evansville to tally his lone goal this season. He recorded two assists and four points for Drake. Allen also tallied seven shots and two on goal in his 795 minutes played.
Freshman
Jaffer Murphy earned MVC All-Freshman Team honors after being one of only two freshmen to start for the Bulldogs this season. He appeared in six games to play a total of 249 minutes. He recorded five shots and four on goal.
