ST. LOUIS – The Drake University football team has three members on the 2021 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League First Team, the PFL announced Wednesday, July 28. Senior defensive lineman Jake Hoper and senior defensive back Danny Morales are on the defensive team while fifth-year linebacker Ryan Kriceri is the long snapper on the special teams unit.
 
Hoper and Morales each were selected to the 2021 Spring All-PFL Second Team while Kriceri earned first-team honors at long snapper and second-team accolades at linebacker.
 
Drake hosts West Virginia Wesleyan Sept. 2 at Drake Stadium in the season opener. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
