COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Drake University cross country teams head south to Columbia, Mo. for the Gans Creek Classic at the University of Missouri on Friday, Oct. 1. In addition to taking on Missouri, the Bulldogs will face teams from the Big 12, BIG 10 and the SEC. The Drake men will race the 8,000m at 9 a.m. while the Drake women take off after at 9:45 a.m. with the 6,000m race.
The last time out at the Redbird Invite, sophomore All-American
Isaac Basten led the Bulldog men with his third-place finish in the 8,000m. He covered the course in 24:33.8 and was the top Missouri Valley Conference finisher. His performance helped the Drake men's team finish sixth in the 12-team field. The Drake women had three top-50 finishers in the 144-runner field.
Following the Gans Creek Classic, Drake will travel to Peoria, Ill. for the Bradley Pink Classic on Oct. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
