DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University softball team has finalized its 2023 schedule. The Bulldogs' slate of contests includes a daunting non-conference schedule in addition to their ever-difficult march through the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Bulldogs will begin the season in mid-February with a trip to the Doc Halverson UNI Dome Tournament in Cedar Falls. Drake will then travel south to compete at Razorback Invitational hosted by the University Arkansas from Feb. 24-26. The Bulldogs' tournament schedule will continue at the University of Memphis and later at the University of Minnesota.
Drake's MVC campaign will get underway on March 17 with a road weekend at Missouri State. The Bulldogs will return to Des Moines on March 24 for a series with Indiana State, their first home action of the year.
The Bulldogs' league schedule will be broken up by a quartet of non-MVC tilts including road matchups at Missouri (3/22), Creighton (3/29), and Iowa State (5/3), as well as a home battle with the Hawkeyes of Iowa (4/4).
Drake will hopefully challenge for a Valley championship at the 2023 MVC Tournament from May 10-13. The 2023 NCAA postseason will begin with the regional round from May 19-21 with the Women's College World Series taking place from June 1-10 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
