THE BASICS
The Drake women's golf team will return to the state of Texas for the UTRGV Invitational at McAllen Country Club (6,603 yards, par 72) in McAllen, Texas, March 7-8.
 
36 holes will be played on Monday (March 7) while the final 18 holes are scheduled to be played on Tuesday (March 8). Both days get underway with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. The field consists of UTRGV (A), UTRGV (B), Creighton, Drake, Houston Baptist, Illinois State, Incarnate Word, Lamar, North Dakota, Omaha, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas Southern and Utah Valley.

HAERI LEE EARNS MVC GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Senior Haeri Lee was selected as Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the fourth time in her career, the league announced on Thursday (Feb. 24).

Lee (72-71-77, 220) finished tied for eighth place at the Islander Classic at Brackenridge Park Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas Feb. 21-22. She was in the Top-10 on the leaderboard for all three rounds.
 
MVC WOMEN'S GOLF PRESEASON POLL SUMMARY
Missouri State and Illinois State both received five first-place votes in the women's coaches poll, while Drake had 54 total points right behind SIU (55) for fifth place.
