Adam Fogg and
Isaac Basten both qualified for the 1 mile run in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala., March 11-12. To qualify, a student-athlete must be ranked in the top 16 of the event this season.
Basten currently owns the top MVC time this season in the men's 1 mile run (3:56.10) which is marked a new Valley record in the event. He improved upon a record already owned by Fogg (3:56.60).
Basten and Fogg have both run a sub-4 mile three times this season including Fogg's 3:56.89 that won the mile and set the meet record at the MVC Indoor Championships Feb. 28.
The men's 1 mile run prelims are Friday, March 11 at 4 p.m. CT with the finals occurring the following day (March 12) at 4 p.m. Live coverage will be provided online via ESPN3.
