The Drake University softball team heads to Terre Haute, Indiana to take on Indiana State on Friday April 15 with a doubleheader and then a single game on Saturday April 16.

Carey Koenig led the Bulldogs in batting average slugging percentage, and RBI's last week. She earned Valley Newcomer of the Week for her performance.
Pitcher
Paige Bedsworth recorded her fourth career win after pitching all seven innings for the Bulldogs in their second game with the Braves. She recorded three strikeouts in the Bulldogs 6-2 win.
The Bulldogs moved up in the MVC standings after their series sweep. During the week of April 4, the Bulldogs ranked in eighth, but ranked in at fourth on Monday April 11.
The Sycamores host the Bulldogs on a four-game losing streak. Indiana State dropped its series with Missouri State before falling to Illinois in a single game meeting.
Indiana State is led by Isabelle Henning, who records a .371 batting average with 29 hits and four home runs.
Lexi Benko leads the Sycamores from the circle. She has pitched 121 innings and recorded one save with a 9-9 record.
After their series with Indiana State, the Bulldogs return to Iowa for a two game meeting with UNI on Tuesday April 19.
