STILLWATER, Okla. -- Drake women's golfer Kristen Giles concluded the second round of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Stillwater Regional on Tuesday, May 10 at Karsten Creek Golf Club.
 
Giles qualified by earning medalist honors at the Missouri Valley Championship on Tuesday, April 19 with a 54-hole score of 225. She became the second Bulldog women's golfer to win the MVC Championship individual title. 
 
This marks the first year that the medalist of a conference championship can get the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Women's Golf championship if not on the winning team. 
 
Giles bested her opening round score by six strokes with an 84 on day two to hold a 36-hole score of 174. She has recorded nine pars and sank three birdies over two rounds of play.
 
The third and final round of the NCAA Stillwater Regional will tee off for Giles at 8:55 a.m. on Wednesday (May 11).
