SILVIS, Ill. – The Drake women's golf team wrapped up play at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship from TPC Deere Run on Tuesday and tallied a fourth-place finish among the 11-team field. Drake posted a final team score of 944 at the three-day event with rounds of 312-320-312.
Murray State earned its first MVC women's golf title as it rallied from 12 strokes down on the final day to edge Bradley by a single stroke. The Racers fired a three-round 304-318-301, 923.
Drake had two seniors place inside the top-10 on the leaderboard in
Erika Holmberg and
Julie Huggins. Holmberg had the best finish for the Bulldogs tying for seventh. She shot a 54-hole total of 232 (75-80-77), which tied her second-lowest 54-hole total of the season. Huggins was one stroke behind Holmberg at 233 (75-81-77) and tied for ninth. Huggins was also named to the All-Conference Team after the tournament had concluded.
Amber Henson, another senior, carded a top-20 result firing a total of 236 (76-80-80) which put her in a tie for 17th.
Meanwhile,
Rylee Heryford and
Kate Connolly rounded out the Bulldog lineup. Heryford ended her tournament tied for 30th with a total of 243 (86-79-78) and Connolly finished in 44th at 252 (88-83-81).
Belmont's Sloane Biddle placed first in the medalist race as she shot a total of 222 (74-73-75).
This concludes the 2025-26 season for the Drake women's golf team.
