COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Drake women's golf team teed off its second tournament of the season at the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday, Sept. 25 at the Old Hawthorne (Par 72/6,264 yards). Following one round, Drake is ninth out of the 13-team field after shooting 298 as a team.
 
Amber Henson (71, -1) is tied for fifth after finishing under par in the first round. Aayushi Sarkar (73, +1) is the other Bulldog in the Top-20, currently in a tie for 18th overall. 
 
A pair of newcomers Julie Huggins (77, +5) and Kate Connolly (77, +5) were tied after round one followed by Rylee Heryford (78, +6). Erika Holmberg (79, +7) competed as an individual. 
 
FIU fired a first round team score of 282 to lead the standings after day one. 
 
The second round begins with tee times at 8 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26).
