The Basics
Drake track and field will be in Chicago for the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships. Hosted by UIC and Valparaiso, events are set to take place at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park Feb. 25-26.

Broadcast Information
Sunday's ESPN+ telecast will begin at 3 p.m. while Monday's ESPN+ broadcast will go live starting at 11:15 a.m. Brad Wells (play-by-play), Mike Mahon (analyst) and Kelly Burke (analyst) will be on the call.

2023-24 Indoor Season Highlights
Isaac Basten returned to Boston and broke his own Drake program and MVC record in the mile at David Hemery Valentine Invitational with a time of 3:53.54 to finish eighth overall (second amongst collegiate competitors). 

Basten was named MVC Track Athlete of the Week two weeks in a row (Feb. 8 and Feb. 15).  
Distance running has always been a strong suit for the Bulldogs. In the 3000m run, Enzo Marie, Brogan Giffin, Aziz JDai and Aidan Ramsey finished 1-4 at the Iowa State Classic on Feb. 3.
 
Adam Phillips won the Cyclone Open men's weight throw on Friday, Jan. 19 after a school record toss of 21.61m/70' 10.75". That measurement currently ranks first in MVC, eighth in the Midwest region and 27^th in the NCAA. Phillips was named MVC Field Athlete of the Week twice this indoor season.

At the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas, Emilie Meyer broke Gina DeWitt's record with her 800m time of 2:08.19. The previous record (2:09.24) by DeWitt was set back in 1995. 
Also in Fayetteville, Centaine Noom-Duckworth bettered her own program record in the Tyson Invitational women's weight throw with a toss of 19.26m/63-2 ¼. She ranks fourth in the MVC, 21^st in the Midwest region and 78^th in the NCAA. Noom-Duckworth has an MVC Field Athlete of the Week honor to her credit this indoor season.

Brooke Mullins and Carmen Krawczynski Gonzalez are two names to look out for in distance events for the Drake women in the 3000m.
