ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Two Drake Bulldogs were included on the 2024 MVC Scholar-Athlete teams for women's golf, the league announced this afternoon. Erika Holmberg (First Team) and Amber Henson (Honorable Mention) represented the Bulldogs.
 
Erika Holmberg owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average while studying English & Scondary Education. She shot an average round of 75.9 on the season with an average score of 227. She had a standout performance in the Johnnie Imes Invitational where she shot 71-77-70--218 to finish 14th overall. She also had two of Drake's lowest scores in the contest. Henson secured a 220 finish in the Vaqueros Invitational which earned her 18th place. Was the top player for the Bulldogs entering the MVC Championships and lived up to that billing. Henson finished tied for seventh at the league tournament.

Ali Schrock of Illinois State headlines the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team as she has been named the league's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  She is joined on the First Team by eight additional student-athletes, announced by the league office today.  A total of 23 student-athletes received recognition by earning either first-team, second-team, or honorable-mention honors.
