DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake softball head coach
Lindsay Diehl has announced the signing of four student-athletes to join her squad next year.
The Bulldogs signed Kori Lincicum, Olivia Meisenheimer, Mady Ott, and Kari Rose
KORI LINCICUM l PITCHER/UTILITY l ANKENY, IOWA I ANKENY CENTENNIAL
Lincicum will join Drake after being a versatile player for Ankeny Centennial. A First Team All-Conference selection as a junior, she hit .429 with 32 runs scored, 11 doubles, 11 home runs, and 49 RBI. From the pitching circle that season she went 9-4 totaling 81 strikeouts with an ERA of 2.72.
OLIVIA MEISENHEIMER l PITCHER l JAMESTOWN, MO. I JAMESTOWN HIGH SCHOOL
Meisenheimer has been an impressive standout at the Class 1A level in Missouri. In all four of her seasons during her prep career she was named First Team All-District and First Team All-Region. As a sophomore, she was a First Team All-State selection.
MADY OTT l OUTFIELDER l ANKENY, IOWA I ANKENY CENTENNIAL
Ott joins her high school teammate Lincicum in committing to Drake after playing at Ankeny Centennial together. In her junior season, Ott collected a number of accolades including First Team All-State, First Team All-Conference, and Sports Illustrated Iowa Class 5A First Team honors. At the plate she provided some pop with an average of .417, 14 home runs, and 57 RBI.
KARI ROSE l INFIELDER l WEST DES MOINES, IOWA I VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
So far in her prep career Rose has yet to record a season hitting less than .400 at the plate. She was nominated as the Gatorade Player of the Year in Iowa during her sophomore campaign after hitting .530 for the season scoring 65 runs with an on-base percentage of .594.
