ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake senior Emilie Meyer earned two first-place finishes last week to garner the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week award, the league announced today.
 
At the Iowa State Classic, Meyer earned an individual win in the women's 800m with a solid showing of 2:09.45. Meyer also teamed up with Savannah Ming, Briandrias Rhodes, and Madison Bunton to capture first place in the women's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:54.06. Meyer currently 14th in the Midwest Region and third in the MVC in the 800m.
 
Meyer and the Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. this weekend for a 2-day stint at the Razorbacks' Tyson Invitational.
