Women's Golf Has Four Selected to WGCA All-Scholar Team

Huggins, Holmberg, Heryford, and Reyes earn academic honor

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The 2024-25 All-American Scholar Team was announced, per the WGCA. Nearly 1,500 women's collegiate golfers from over 400 programs were distinguished to receive the honor. The Drake women's golf team featured four student-athletes on the team in Erika Holmberg, Julie Huggins, Rylee Heryford, and Alexis Reyes.
 
Holmberg posted a perfect 4.00 GPA in English and Secondary Education. Huggins, a Finance major, worked for a 3.67 GPA and Heryford carried a 3.50 GPA in Management & Organizational Leadership. As a freshman, Reyes owns a 3.51 GPA in Pyschology.
 
The WGCA All-American Scholar Team features strict criteria that demonstrate high-level academic and athletic achievement. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and played in at least 50 percent of the team's scheduled rounds.
