DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's soccer team is ready to take on another challenging non-conference schedule and run through the Missouri Valley Conference. The Bulldogs return several key pieces from their 2024 runner-up squad and announced their 2025 slate of games today.
Drake will open its schedule with a trio of exhibition matches including two at home versus crosstown foe Grand View (Aug. 10) and Northeast Community College (Aug. 13). The Bulldogs' final exhibition contest will be on the road as Drake visits Madison to scrimmage the Wisconsin Badgers (Aug. 16).
The Bulldogs' regular season will start away from home with three straight road matches. Drake will travel to the Lone Star State for matches at Houston Christian (Aug. 21) and Incarnate Word (Aug. 24), then visit Marquette (Aug. 28) to round out their first road swing of the year.
Drake's 2025 home opener will feature another non-conference tilt against Graceland (Aug. 31) before the Mavericks of Omaha come to town (Sep. 3). The Dogs' next two bouts will be back on the road against Tulsa (Sep. 6) and Kansas City (Sep. 9).
September continues with the Bulldogs' longest homestand of the season when DePaul (Sep. 13), Oral Roberts (Sep. 20) and Northern Illinois (Sep. 27) visit Des Moines. The matchup between the Bulldogs and Huskies will be the first MVC battle of Drake's season.
The 2025 calendar then shifts to October as Drake will head to the Windy City for a matchup at UIC (Oct. 3) before returning home for games versus Evansville (Oct. 11) and Bowling Green (Oct. 18). The Bulldogs' regular season will hit its home stretch with another road swing including the first non-conference contest against Missouri State (Oct. 21), Belmont (Oct. 24), and a Halloween romp with Western Michigan (Oct. 31).
Drake will be back at home for the regular season finale against Bradley (Nov. 5).
The MVC Men's Soccer Championship will get underway with first round matches on Nov. 9 and the title bout on Nov. 15. The league's top six teams will qualify for tournament play with a chance to win a conference crown and represent The Valley in the NCAA Tournament.
