ST. LOUIS, Mo. –Drake University's Breanna Burak was again named Missouri Valley Conference Women's Runner of the Week, the league announced this afternoon.

Junior Breanna Burak of Algonquin, Ill., placed 14th individually in the Black division at the 2025 Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo., with a time of 21:02.0. Her performance helped the Drake team secure an 8th-place finish in their first 6K race of the season.
 
UIC's Daniel Chavez earned the MVC Men's Runner of the Week honor.
 
Burak and the Bulldogs will be back in action on Oct. 4 at the Dan Huston Invite in Waverly, Iowa.
