DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake University Cross Country has officially set its schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, head coach Sam Read announced today.

The Bulldogs will stay in central Iowa for their first two meets when they travel to Ames for a pair of events hosted by the nationally contending Cyclones. Drake will participate in the Cyclone Preview on Sep. 4 before returning to Ames for the Iowa State Regional Preview on Sep. 18.

Drake's 2026 slate will continue with another loaded event at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo. on Sep. 25 before heading back to the Hawkeye State for Wartburg College's Dan Huston Invite on Oct. 3.

The Bulldogs' regular season schedule will conclude at the home of MVC counterpart Bradley for the Braves' annual Pink Classic on Oct. 17.

Postseason racing will then head to Iowa's capital city for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships. Drake will host the 2026 league championships at A.H. Blank Golf Course in Des Moines on Oct. 30.

NCAA action will begin on Nov. 13 with the NCAA Midwest Regional back in Ames before Terre Haute, Ind. hosts the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21.
