OMAHA, NEB. Drake senior forward Matt Nickell (Waukee) has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference all-tournament mens soccer team.

Nickell scored Drakes only goal in the MVC quarterfinals at Bradley Nov. 6, as the Bulldogs lost, 3-1. Drake finished its season with an 8-9-1 record, placing fifth in the league with a 4-4-1 conference mark.

Nickell was Drakes leading scorer with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points at forward, which ranked 10th in the MVC. Nickell ended his Drake career tying the school record for career assists (22), ranking second in career goals (31), career points (84) and career shots (215).
