MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. --  Allison Galvin scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the eighth inning as Northern Iowa handed the Drake softball team its first loss of the season with a 3-2 victory in the Metrodome Classic in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome on Saturday night. (Feb. 14).

A two-out two run single by junior Bridget Shields (Iowa City, Iowa) in the fifth inning allowed Drake to tie the score a 2-2 in the fifth inning. Shield's single scored freshmen Rose Magaddino (Tucson, Ariz.) and Torey Craddock (Tucson, Ariz.).

Drake, which fell to 3-1, will play host Minnesota on Sunday.
