DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake Bulldogs
defeated the Bradley Braves, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Ron Buel Field. Drake
(13-14, 6-0 MVC) has now won six straight games.
Torey Craddock (Tucson, Ariz.)
provided all the offense the Bulldogs needed on Sunday with a solo home run in
the third inning. The senior has now gone back-to-back games with a home run
and she has four this season.
Jordan Gronewold (Carlisle, Iowa) and
Rebekah Schmidt (Cottage Grove,
Minn.) combined on a three-hit shutout. Gronewold started the game and went five
innings and improved her record to 10-10 and Schmidt earned her fourth save of
the season. Gronewold struck out five and leads the Valley with 114 punch outs.
Bradley's
(11-17, 1-5 MVC) Mackenzie Camp took the loss for the Braves and is now 4-6 on
the season. Ally Clemente finished 2-3 for Bradley.
Drake
will travel up I-35 on Wednesday, March 28 to face the Iowa State Cyclones.
First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
