LINCOLN, Neb. – While the bulk of the Drake University track and field teams took the weekend to rest, select members of the team traveled to nearby Lincoln, Neb., to compete in the Nebraska Tune-Up.
A total of 13 Bulldogs lined up in the small meet on Friday with
Victoria Coombe recording the team's top finish with a sixth-place time of 8.97 in the women's 60-meter hurdles.
Cory Erickson was ninth in the men's 800 meters in 1:57.93 while
Kendal Owens was 12
th in the 60 meters at 7.13.
The bulk of the team refrained from competing this week to rest and prepare for next weekend's Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
