Lee Named MVC Golfer Of The Week

Haeri Lee earns the honor after winning last weekend's UNI Invitational

Drake University golfer Haeri Lee was named MVC Women's Golfer of the Week Wednesday after earning medalist honors in Drake's win at the UNI Women's Invitational. The freshman battled difficult conditions to post consecutive rounds of 75 to finish at the top of the 32 golfer field.

Lee finished with a 36-hole score of 150 (75-75) to outpace fellow freshman Kristen Giles by three strokes. The first-place finish is Lee's sixth consecutive top-20 finish, and her third top-10 finish this season. Lee is averaging 76.3 strokes per round, which is a team-best for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will travel to Raymore, Mo. for the Kansas City Intercollegiate hosted by UMKC, April 8-9.
