Men's Track and Field Drake Athletic Communications

Thirteen Bulldogs Named To MVC Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team

Bulldogs honored for their performance in competition and the classroom

A total of 13 Drake University student-athletes were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team, the league announced Tuesday, April 7.

Representing the Bulldogs on the Scholar-Athlete Team are Maximilian Fridrich, Joey Harkins, Aobakwe Malau, Matt Cozine, Max Harlan, Xavier Lechleitner, Kyle Cass, Kyle Brandt, Sophia Jackson, Millie Bretl, Chandler Haight, Olivia Rogers and Rachel Selva.

With the cancellation of the 2020 spring season, the award requirements were modified to include athletes that previously met the requirements and were scheduled to compete during the outdoor season.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher with a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. They must have also finished in the top eight of an individual event at an MVC Championship or top three on a relay team.
