COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Drake University women's golf team finished play at the Johnie Imes Invitational on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The three-day tournament at the Club at Hawthorne (Par 72/6,264 yards) concluded with the Bulldogs in 14^th place (311-304-309-924).
 
Kristen Giles (80-76-74-230) got better each day with Drake's lowest score of the third round.
 
Amber Henson (81-72-78-231) was just one stroke ahead of teammate and fellow freshman Rylee Heryford (76-77-79-232).
 
Ayushi Sarkar (74-79-82-235) and Erika Holmberg (88-79-78) rounded out the Drake lineup.  
 
Giles buried four birdies on the final day while Holmberg sank two birdies of her own in round three.
 
Host Mizzou won the event with a three round combined total of 877 (+13).  
 
The next event for Drake women's golf will be the Loyola Chicago Fall Invitational Oct. 10-11.
