ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Drake track & field sophomore Anthony Barmes earned Missouri Valley Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday, March 29. 

Barmes won the men's hammer throw at the Grand View Viking Relays on Saturday, March 25 by setting a school record of 67.88m/222' 8", which is third all-time in the MVC, 11^th currently in the NCAA season and the second-best so far this year in the Midwest Region. This throw also broke the facility record at Grand View University.
