AZUSA, Calif. – Several Drake track & field distance runners headed out west to the Bryan Clay Invitational April 14-15, where they rewrote the program record book.
Isaac Basten ran a personal best of 3:36.99 to break the Drake school men's 1500m record while finishing ninth in the invitational division.
Brooke Mullins turned in a pair of personal bests in the women's 5000m (16:22.53) and the women's 1500m (4:23.20). The 1500m time placed her second on the Drake all-time list while she ranks fourth in the women's 5000m at Drake.
Emilie Meyer moved into seventh all-time in Drake school history in the women's 800m with a PR of 2:11.37. Meyer's 1500m PR performance of 4:29.35 now ranks ninth in the Drake women's track & field record book.
Hannah Behunin competed in both the women's 1500m (4:36.96) and the women's 800m (2:14.78).
Carmen Krawczynski Gonzalez set a PR in the women's 5000m, crossing the finish line in 16:36.15 to land fifth all-time in the program record book.
Barbara Vrhovac completed the 1500m run in 4:36.57.
Enzo Marie recorded a pair of personal bests in the men's 1500m (3:46.86) and the men's 5000m at 14:15.64 PR, which sits him 10
th on the Drake program list.
Drake track & field is scheduled to appear in the John Jacobs Invitational hosted by Oklahoma on Friday, April 21.
