The Drake women's track & field team was picked ninth in the 2023-24 MVC Indoor Track & Field preseason coaches poll. Drake men's track & field was picked fifth in the 2023-24 MVC Indoor Track & Field preseason coaches poll.
 
School Record
During the Iowa State Holiday Invitational on Dec. 9, Centaine Noom-Duckworth set a new school record in the women's weight throw with a heave of 18.99m (62-3 3/4).
