Women's Golf Preview: Rust Buster Match Play

Bulldogs head to Central Florida for match play event

The Basics
The Drake women's golf team is back in action for the upcoming Rust Buster Match Play event. This marks the second competition for the Bulldogs in their spring season coming off a fifth-place finish at the Texas State Invitational. The Rust Buster Match Play event will be played at King's Ridge Country Club, Feb. 10-11, from Orlando, Fla.

About the Course
The course is an 18-hole, par 71, 6269 yard, Lloyd Clifton designed course and is recognized as one of the outstanding courses of the Central Florida area. The course capitalizes on the naturally rolling terrain of the Florida countryside and the golfers will encounter elevated tees, rolling fairways and undulating greens.

The Bulldogs will have a bit of a break before their next outing at the West Texas Classic. The tournament will take place from Abilene Country Club in Abilene, Texas, Mar. 3-4.
