DES MOINES, Iowa – A total of 64 Drake University student-athletes will participate in a virtual commencement ceremony Saturday, May 16. The Spring 2020 commencement was scheduled to be held in the Knapp Center but was canceled due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Although the celebration can't be on campus, the university will celebrate the graduates and all their accomplishments with a virtual commencement experience. To watch visit

The Bulldogs' student-athletes set to graduate are an accomplished and successful group in athletics and academics. The group owns a .569 winning percentage, were part of 11 conference championships and made eight NCAA appearances. The student-athletes earned 19 all-conference honors and 23 academic all-conference honors, four garnered academic all-America honors and
Mandi Roemmich of softball was named the Missouri Valley Conference's first-ever softball scholar-athlete of the year in 2020.
